What If You Decide to Stay Longer?

What If You Decide to Stay Longer?

Many Filipinos use their first tourist visit to explore Russia — to understand the culture, meet people, and see if they want to work or live here. If you decide to stay, you don't have to return to the Philippines to change your visa status. You can exit to a nearby country — Armenia, Kazakhstan, or Turkey — apply for a new visa at the Russian embassy there, and return with the correct visa type.

Rose:
Will I be checked at passport control?
Welcome to russia:
When you arrive in Russia, you may be subject to additional screening at passport control. This is not guaranteed, but it is possible — Russia places a high priority on border security.
Why this happens: Some Filipinos have previously entered Russia on tourist visas with the intention of working illegally — which leads to deportation and entry bans.
Rose:
How do you prepare me for this?
welcome to russia:
Before your arrival, we provide a pre-arrival briefing on how to behave during passport control and how to handle possible additional interviews calmly and confidently. With the current security regulations in Russia, being prepared is your best advantag

What happens after I clear passport control?
Welcome to Russia
After you clear passport control, our professional greeter will be waiting for you with a WelcomeToRussia sign. We'll help you with your luggage, guide you through the airport, and take you directly to your accommodation.
No stress, no confusion — just a warm, reliable welcome to start your Russian journey smoothly.
Migration Registration

Migration Registration — Why It Matters

Within 7 days of arrival — we help you get it right

Russian law requires all foreign visitors to be registered at their place of stay within 7 working days. If you're staying in a hotel, they'll register you automatically. If you're renting an apartment, your landlord must visit the local migration office or MFC with you.

Who can register you: Only the owner of the property where you are staying can submit the registration. This is a legal requirement — no one else can do it on your behalf.
Why this is critical: Migration registration is often the first thing police check on the streets or in public transport when they stop a foreigner. It must be real and properly issued — fake registration is illegal and can lead to serious consequences, including fines, deportation, and a ban on entering Russia.

The challenge: Language barriers can make this process stressful. We provide translation and concierge support — we'll guide you and your landlord through the paperwork and accompany you to the MFC to ensure your registration is valid and legally compliant.
